CCPS STEM Education Initiative
Carroll County Public Schools (CCPS) in partnership with the Maryland Sea Grant Extension Program were awarded a STEM Education Initiative Grant from the Maryland State Department of Education to implement the Biofilms and Biodiversity project in Science Research I & II classes to promote the use of long-term science investigation and inquiry in CCPS high schools. So far students have participated in two real-time videoconferences with their counterparts in Sweden and have designed research projects to study local aquatic biodiversity.
